PORSCHE AUTO Original document and rare note of German car manufacturer, with the official logo, an action title from
Porsche (pronounced ['pɔɐʃə]) is a German car manufacturer specialized in producing sports cars, based in Stuttgart.
Founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, also famous for having designed the famous Volkswagen, or the people's car (from the German Volks = people (in the genitive case of the word) and Wagen = auto), built by Hitler during the Nazi period in time and known as the Beetle.
The son of Ferdinand Porsche, Ferdinand Anton, universally known by his nickname Ferry, collaborated closely with his father, carrying on the business and creating, in 1948, the first real Porsche model 356. The mechanics of the car was taken, in the scheme, ie setting the Volkswagen four-cylinder boxer engine, air cooled, placed in longitudinal position rear overhang, ie the piece over the rear axle and the gearbox to the interior.
The engine used initially maintained substantially the configuration of the Beetle, only with the power system revised uses twin carburetors, one per bank. Subsequently, the materials used, especially for the heads, cylinders, pistons, connecting rods and shaft were gradually improved by allowing higher speeds and a power / displacement very favorable. Even then it was introduced, only the sportier versions, an engine is very complex and sophisticated distribution system with a dual overhead cam head, designed by Fuhrmann and said, "Carrera". The engine based on one single camshaft in the crankcase, however, was maintained and lasted throughout the production of the 356 model, propagating then to model 912, until 1969.
